In Yet Another attempt to attract the social networking enthusiasts, Yahoo! has come up with Yahoo Pulse! This new web application from the internet giant is set to integrate the Yahoo! services such as yahoo mail and flicker with the hugely popular social networking site Facebook. So the users having a yahoo and a Facebook account can share their updates on a common platform. This will allow the users to simultaneously access Yahoo’s e-mail or chat applications and view their Facebook news feeds and updates on a single window. It will also be possible to post content on a Yahoo application such as flicker and view these contents appear on Facebook profile. The security concerns are addressed using privacy setting feature which  will allow the users to decide the accessibility of their content.

One of the most exciting feature of yahoo pulse will be that popular gaming applications of facebook like farmville and mafia wars can also be accessed in yahoo environment itself. Yahoo has already acquired the rights to link the Facebook to its webpage using quick view option. The launch of yahoo pulse is seen as an attempt to bind people even more strongly to yahoo network thus increasing its users and advertising share. Also the users having multiple e-mail account will be tempted to use yahoo for their social networking profiles.

Yahoo! later plans to integrate twitter and other similar social networking portals to its regime, thus becoming the epicentre of all internet activities.

This is nothing more than MALWARE from Yahoo. For them to automatically start sharing your information with complete strangers by default is monumentally retarded. Yahoo "Pulse" crashed my mothers browser and locked up her machine a dozen times in one week before I managed to figure out what was going on and SHUT IT DOWN. Awful, ridiculous move on Yahoo's part. Hopefully this will die as quickly as Google's "Buzz" did.
