Steps to Change DNS Settings on Windows Vista
Select Control Panel from Start menu.
Click on ‘View network status tasks’.
Click on ‘View Status’.
Click on ‘Properties’ button.
Windows Vista may ask for your permission. If asked, click on ‘Continue’ button.
Select ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)’ and click the ‘Properties’ button.
Click the radio button ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’

Steps to Change DNS Settings on Windows XP
Select Control Panel from Start menu.
Click Network Connections from the Control Panel choices.
Open your connection (e.g. LAN) from the Network Connections window.
Click Properties button.
Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
Click the radio button ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’
Enter the Preferred DNS server(e.g. 208.67.222.222 ) and Alternate DNS
