You can run multiple instances of Google Talk simultaneously and sign in in with different id.

Trick 1 (command prompt)

  • Run ‘command prompt’
  • Switch to the directory where Google Talk is installed
  • Type ‘googletalk \nomutex’ and press enter
    techwhiz-cmd-google-talk
  • Repeat the previous step to run as many instances as you like

Trick 2 (create shortcuts)

  • Right click in any folder/desktop and click on ‘New’ and select ‘Shortcut’
  • ‘Create Shortcut’ window will appear on your screen and prompt you to enter the location of the item
  • Enter the following and save the shortcut. Make sure to enter the correct path where google talk is installed.
“C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex

  • You can repeat the above steps and create multiple shortcuts and run multiple instances of Google Talk simultaneously
