TeamViewer is a free utility that lets you share your desktop with other users over the internet connection. It is a cross platform utility and is free for personal use. In the free version the desktop can be shared only between 2 users (1 server, 1 client). To share your desktop with more than 1 client, you have to buy a licensed version.

- TeamViewer U3 (U3 Stick)
If you have downloaded the first one then:
- Run the downloaded file
- You will be prompted to either install or run it directly
- It is recommended that you install the application and configure access control and other settings as per your requirements
If you have downloaded the portable version then you can use it without installing anything. You can also configure access control and other settings.

How to share your desktop?
- Note down the ‘ID’ and ‘password’ and send to your client
- You can also use user defined password, right click on the password box to set user defined password
- The client must enter ID and password to join your sharing session
- Once the credentials are validated, your desktop is now shared
- TeamViewer Quick Support also enables you to share your desktop. But you can not configure access control or use user defined password
How to view other’s desktop?
- Run TeamViewer Supporter
- Note down the ID and password provided by your partner
- You are provided with four options to select
Remote support: you can view your partner’s screen and you can also access the computer with all rights (access can be configured by your partner while installing the TeamViewer Supporter)
Presentation: your partner can view your screen
File Transfer: you can transfer files between you and your partner’s computer
VPN: you need VPN adapter installed to use this - Enter ‘ID’ and select the relevant option
- Click ‘Connect to partner’
- Enter the password provided by your partner and you are done
Web Viewer:
- Visit https://wa236.teamviewer.com/register.aspx
- Create a log in and verify your email
- Log in to https://wa236.teamviewer.com/login.aspx
- Enter your partner’s ID and password
- This will connect to your partner’s computer in remote sharing mode
