Sometimes, when you play ripped DVDs or encoded video, audio plays either before or after the video. This is due to audio not being sync with the video. This problem can be fixed by re-encoding the video but it will take lot of time to do that. However you can fix it while playing the video by using VLC. VLC is a free video player.
It can be downloaded from http://www.videolan.org/
Symptoms
- Audio is heard after its corresponding video
- Audio is heard before its corresponding video
Audio Sync Mismatch Fix
- Open the video with VLC
- Press Ctrl L to slow the audio by 50ms
- Press Ctrl K to speed up the audio by 50ms
If you hear the audio before its corresponding video, then you have to slow it down.
And if hear the audio after its corresponding video, then you have to speed it up.
Note :Slowing down or speeding up the audio will not change its playback speed. It only inserts pause in terms of milli seconds.
